The Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2019

On the 9th August 2019, the Ministry of Law and Justice brought into the force The Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act 2019, which further amends the 1996 and 2016 amendments. The new amendments provides for establishment of Arbitration Council of India. These developments are significant to enable India to have a credible institutional arbitration which can challenges established places such as the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, London Court of International Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce (Paris) and Dubai International Arbitration Centre.
