Biography

Muthupandi Ganesan

Mr. Muthupandi Ganesan is one of the founding partners at Ganesan and Manuraj Legal LLP. He is a Barrister-at-law in London and an Advocate in India with substantive international experience in broad categories of law including domestic and international commercial arbitration, commercial litigation with particular emphasis on Company Law, Insolvency, Restructuring, Taxation and Private and Family Law.

Muthupandi is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London. Muthupandi regularly undertakes and advises on international commercial arbitrations conducted under the SIAC, LCIA and ICC Paris especially with regards to enforcement of arbitration award in India. Muthupandi also undertakes commercial mediation and is an accredited mediator by the Society of Mediators, London. Muthupandi is a domestic and international litigator and has advised on transactions and disputes in many jurisdictions including England and Wales, India, Barbados, Antigua, Seychelles, Singapore, Nigeria, Romania, Estonia, Isle of Man, Kenya, Spain to name a few, representing both private and corporate clients.

Muthupandi regularly advises client in relation to matters involving British nationals and Non-Resident Indians in India. Muthupandi is often involved in assisting individuals on variety of different private law issues.

Muthupandi Ganesan is internationally recognized as one of the leading experts on the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 primarily issues of money laundering and attachment of properties and challenges to them.

  • Provided expert opinion in a matter of extradition before a federal court in the United States.
  • Represented a functionary of a large conglomerate in Indian courts on an action initiated by the SFIO, UK.
