Anisha Gupta is an Associate with the firm with a strong background in Indirect Taxation, Constitutional Law, Civil Laws, Arbitration and Education Laws. She has represented clients before the Supreme Court, various High Courts, City Civil Courts, ITAT, CESTAT, Tax Commissioners, Arbitral Tribunals, RERA and other adjudicating authorities.
She has represented and advised various leading automobile, shipping, and tobacco manufacturing companies in complex matters revolving around indirect tax. She has assisted in several important Constitutional law challenges to the GST Act before the Madras High Court and has also recently represented India’s largest trading PSU in a high-stake arbitration. She has advised start-ups with incorporation of their companies, trademark registration, etc.
She also has a keen interest in laws relating to protection of children from child sexual offences and has worked with stakeholders on laws relating to child rights. She has a passion for privacy laws and has worked as a Research Consultant at Centre for Internet and Society, Bangalore in the past.
